III. Physical and Mechanical Properties of 7031 Nonwoven Fabric

1. Packaging: Each roll of nonwoven fabric is wrapped in a plastic film, then an outer waterproof woven bag. The ends of the core are sealed with corresponding plastic cores. The inner tube is a 1.8cm thick high-pressure paper tube.

2. Marking: The outer packaging bag should be marked with the manufacturer, product name, model, specifications, batch number, net weight, production date, etc.

3. Storage: 7031 nonwoven fabric should be stored in a cool, dry, clean, and well-ventilated warehouse below 40℃. It should not be near fire sources or heating, and should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The shelf life is one year.

IV. Scope of application:

Widely used in composite materials (DMD, DM, DMDM), mica tape reinforcing materials, electrical laminates, insulating varnish cloth base fabric, and end wrapping of electrical appliances, transformers, and motor coils. It is also suitable for small and flexible cables, household electrical cables, communication optical cables, and can replace various types of paper insulation materials.

Introduction

A Nonwoven Fabric Manufacturer specializes in producing versatile, high-performance fabrics used in industrial, medical, automotive, filtration, and consumer applications. Nonwoven fabrics are distinct from woven or knitted textiles because they are manufactured by directly bonding fibers through mechanical, chemical, or thermal processes. This results in a uniform, durable, lightweight material with excellent mechanical, filtration, insulation, and barrier properties.

Nonwoven fabric manufacturers play a critical role in providing customized solutions to meet specific industry requirements. From raw material selection to final production, manufacturers ensure that each batch meets performance standards for tensile strength, thickness, porosity, moisture resistance, flame retardancy, and chemical stability. They also often provide additional services such as surface finishing, lamination, dyeing, and custom cutting to enhance usability for diverse applications.

Product Overview

Nonwoven fabrics produced by manufacturers vary in fiber composition, manufacturing process, and functional treatment:

  • Material Composition: Polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), natural fibers like cotton or viscose, or blended fibers.

  • Manufacturing Methods: Spunbond, melt-blown, needle-punched, hydroentangled, thermal bonding.

  • Weight and Thickness: Fabric weights range from 20 g/m² to 400 g/m², thickness from 0.1 mm to 5 mm.

  • Fiber Orientation: Random or oriented to enhance tensile and tear strength.

  • Special Treatments: Flame retardant, hydrophobic or hydrophilic treatments, chemical or thermal coatings for performance enhancement.

These product options allow manufacturers to serve industries requiring precise specifications and reliable performance.

Product Parameters

A professional nonwoven fabric manufacturer ensures that all products meet strict quality and safety standards. Typical parameters include:

  • Tensile Strength: High longitudinal and transverse strength, customizable depending on application.

  • Porosity: Controlled to optimize filtration, absorbency, or breathability.

  • Thermal Resistance: Depending on fiber type, can withstand continuous operation up to 150°C.

  • Moisture Resistance: Low absorption for hydrophobic fibers; higher absorption for medical or hygiene applications.

  • Flame Retardancy: Optional, in compliance with UL, EN, or other international standards.

  • Color: White, grey, or customizable according to client specifications.

  • Eco Compliance: Recyclable, RoHS, and REACH certified materials.

These parameters ensure consistent performance in demanding industrial and consumer applications.

Usage Instructions

Proper handling and installation of nonwoven fabrics are essential to maintain performance:

  • Cutting and Shaping:
Use sharp scissors, rotary cutters, or laser cutters. Avoid stretching to prevent deformation and maintain mechanical strength.

  • Layering and Lamination:
Multiple layers may be used for filtration, insulation, or cushioning. Adhesive bonding or heat lamination can improve structural stability.

  • Cleaning:
Reusable nonwovens should be cleaned according to fiber compatibility. Avoid harsh chemicals unless fabric is chemically resistant.

  • Storage:
Store rolls or sheets in a cool, dry, and ventilated area, away from sunlight, humidity, or extreme temperatures. Proper storage preserves mechanical and barrier properties.

  • Safety Precautions:
Wear gloves when handling large rolls. Avoid inhaling fine fibers during cutting or processing.
